Delightful family interactions (a crew of rowdy brothers are memorable), admirable protagonists who come into their own, and descriptions that bring the colorful historical Northwest to life combine in a well-paced story that saves a twist or two for the end. VERDICT Tender yet laced with humor, this well-researched, faith-suffused Christmas romance should please both inspirational and sweet historical fans; a worthy addition to this popular series.
