      Bunn's third "Miramar Bay" novel (after Firefly Cove) centers on healing and forgiveness. The Helms family are in a downward spiral, with parents Beth and Jack separated and son Buddy fed up with working for his father without any recognition. He decides to leave the family firm and escape to Moondust Lake, a retreat near Miramar Bay. There he meets Kimberly, a psychotherapist and counselor for his mother and sister. Kimberly has issues of her own to work through and a lot in common with Buddy. Bunn brings family and friendships to the forefront of this gracefully and skillfully written story of hope, faith, and love in the toughest of times, reminding readers that learning when to love and when to let go is a lesson we're never too old to learn. VERDICT Full of strong female characters and an excellent plotline, this novel could easily be read as a stand-alone.
